Smile Steering /Drag link update

Hi Guy's,,,

Thank's to all those who offered suggestion's on what might be wrong with my "Stiff" steering...I think I found the problem,,,Took the tie rod off...One wheel turn's fine,,the other is real tight !!!.

Took the one side King pin "front end" apart...It was stuck so tight,I had to spray a little WD-40 on the bushing area..& tap it out !!These were all new part's...I assembled the chassie 20 year's ago,,,..I think what happened is since the chassie just sat all those year's the little grease I used to assemble the K-pins just went "Away"

The Pin & bushing became real good "Friend's"...Being about a mile from the "Ocean" I'll bet didn't help either...Thinking back when I put the whole front end together it was fine...That's what threw me yesterday,,,all new part's & hook up the drag link and wow,,would of took "King Kong" to steer it !!!!

Again,,,Thanks for your Help

That's good to know.

Sometimes when we're so close to the problems we don't see it. It takes someone else to help us back up and see things clearly.

Thanks for letting us know what you found. Often there's a lesson in the followups for the rest of us.
