Default Ignition switch removal and repair

I was wondering if there's a schematic of the ignition tumbler and steering lock assembly. Need to remove the key lock because it is hanging up. Please advise Thank you the car is a 1938 tudor standard

A shot in the dark here....The problem COULD be the key. If the teeth are too rounded off it won't work well and will get worse in time. Hopefully you have a spare.

My ‘41 would hang up a lot when I first got it, I had new keys made and kept spraying it with WD-40 regular spray and later silicone spray, it hangs only up once in a while now.

I am a big fan of graphite powder in a small tube for lubricating lock cylinders.

Trying to figure out what "hanging up" means. I have found that the first couple
"tumblers" (pins) in the lock cylinder get the most wear. The first gets rubbed by each notch in the key where as the last only gets rubbed once. It has been my experience that lifting up on the key after insertion will allow the worn pin to raise a bit higher and allow the cylinder to rotate. There are many posts on this forum explaining how to remove the cylinder. Once removed send it to 32Phil and he will repair it and make new keys that will work as new and last indefinitely.
