Default 36 hubcap question

How wide is the center small stainless caps on a 36
Has anyone ever set another type of hubcap on there big cap instead of the correct one.
Maybe a repop cap from a different year.
Just a thought

I'm afraid you will be limited to the Ford caps from 1936 - 39 for that wide 5 rim. I have seen aftermarket caps with the SS portion resembling a baby moon. Smooth,no V8.Like these on Ebay now.

C&G will certainly have wide 5’s and caps to compare.
