My car has rumble seats. There are no signs of trunk hinges on the body or lid that would be on a car with only a trunk lid. No signs of a support bar that would have been on the gutter of the body or lid. And the rear panel, which is design for a rumble car, appears to be original to the car.

Yes they did and some are trunks. You need to get the V8 Club 32 book.
