Default 1935 Fuel gauge

The fuel gauge is pushing the red fluid out the top of the glass tube in to the gauge. I have removed the gauge and cleaned it more than once and cleaned the sending unit last year. suggestions

It would appear the fuel tank is being pressurized. The sending unit has a tube to release pressure in the tank, if it is blocked what your seeing can happen since the 35 gas cap is not vented. OR If someone adds pressure to the tank via a compressor or other, this could overwhelm the small vent tube sending excessive pressure to the gauge.
