Did you contact the re-builder suggested in the other thread?

REDHEAD (or similar vendor) may have an exchange or may have the parts to save yours.

If doing yourself, do you have the FORD WORKSHOP MANUAL?

About where are you located in MD? I am just below Hagerstown.

I did , we talked and helped me adjust it before taking the steering box out but he said he doesn't do these and sadly cant point me in the right location , but i may try to call them up and see if they have anything , but yes i do have the ford workshop manual and my boss who's rebuilt many since he's had his shop since the 70's so his experience is great. I'm also located near Annapolis Maryland about an a hour and a half from you

Maybe call these guys. Usually the way it works they will sell you an exchange and take yours as a core (or charge you a core charge). But yours is not a good core. They may have the service repair parts to repair yours.

Either that or a salvage yard take-out.

Or I can send you an ILL and you point out what you think you need and I will try to find NOS parts.

wanted to give an update and thank you , called them and while they didn’t sell me a complete rebuild kit they atleast sold me the adjuster plate which was enough to take care of 90% of my excessive play , they were great and understanding and i want to thank you again !
