I have a question on the Seat Frame Assembly for a 1930 Coupe. The kind with the screw knob in the lower center for adjustment.
I'm rebuilding the seat I have (which is more rot than wood/steel at this point), and the pegs are either gone, or were never there to begin with (I can't find any screw holes). I can shift the seat cushion around on the seat frame when sitting on it in the car... I bought the Synders Seat Frame Assembly Kit, to replace the bad steel and wood. Measuring with only my eyes, the dimensions of the new parts seam to be the same as the old parts. The actual question: Does anyone have measurements for where the two 'pegs' that hold the cushion in place on the seat frame? Specifically, how far back should the pegs be from the front edge of the frame? Any pictures of an assembled seat frame would be great as well. I'm not confident the sheet metal panel that sits between the two wood parts is fitting correctly... |
