Default Coil Tester

Does anyone have a manual that you can post for a Coil - Master coil tester made by Electro Products in New York. The tester can test the coil on the car or off. It also can test the condenser. It is powered by the car battery, 6 volts.

Any information on this tester would be apricated.
Thanks,
Herb

I couldn't find the manual but I can tell you it was trademarked in late '39 and advertised in Motor Age in 1940.

Text says "COILMASTER—Complete 2-minute coil check—high and low speed; tells the coil’s true story, $37.50."

(That's $860 in today's money.)

That could buy a lot of new good quality coils!

I would like to have a copy of the instructions as well, if anyone ever comes up with them.

I have a 1940s Herbrand coil and condenser tester. I inagine the connections and functions are similar, if not the same. Here is a video of it. If you think it would help, I can post a photo of the instructions and connections.

ndnchf, thanks for the video showing the operation of your tester. Can you post the photo of the connections and also instructions.
The coil-master doesn't have a coil heater like yours.
Thanks

I’m pretty sure if you turn the dial to Points Closed and leave it, that’s the same as the heat setting on other testers. The coil will heat up, I can guarantee that.
