Default Mama wasn’t happy…..

Recently my wife has become convinced that her 2025 hybrid must be leaking gas as she could smell it in her laundry room which opens into the garage. Her hybrid shares our garage with the ’28 roadster.
Being an older male with diminished senses of smell (and hearing), I didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary.
Recently however I noticed a slight seepage of gas on the bottom of the cast iron sediment bowl while working on my battery issue.
After consulting with my Model A guru Arlyn Bieber, (a shout out to Hansen’s Garage), I did a gentle tightening of the brass nut on the bottom of the sediment bowl.
When I got the battery issue resolved and took the roadster out for a run, I followed the advice from you all on how to properly shut down the A. I let it idle until it died after shutting off the gas valve, and then turned off the ignition.
Leaving both cars in the garage overnight, there was no obnoxious odor the next morning.
She’s back to being happy and my morning coffee didn’t taste of anything out of ordinary either.

Well done. You told her you fixed the leak on HER car, right?

That is why I shut the gas off and let the engine die. My bride has a more sensitive nose than a bloodhound. I have stories!
