Default 1931 Cabriolet 68C Door Parts

I am trying to find the correct part numbers and sources for the Striker Plates and the Door Handle Rubber Pads. There are so many choices but not sure what is correct.

Also, any suggestions on how to mount the striker plates on the door jam. There is no adjustment that can be made, so the holes in the jam must be made correctly. How are the correct locations for the screw holes determined? Thanks for your help.

One last question, did the 68C have a rubber door seal mounted between the door panel and the metal of the door? Thank you for your help. Ed

Striker is 301134 not available in repop. Many use the ones for
Slant sedans. Correct that they are not adjustable …they affix with wood screws
No rubber pad under outside handle as I’ve seen…no part number on parts list in restoration manual
May have misread part of your question….yes, rubber weather seal on bottom of door.

Thank you for your reply. I have been dreading getting into the assembly of my 68C doors. It seems like a complete mystery of what to use. My original striker plates are too worn. I will try the slant windshield ones. Ed

If you want to used a beaded rubber pad under the outside door handle, 1932-34 closed car will work but need trimming on the inside. Drake best, Carpenter #2.

Your original strikers might be built up and machined
