Default Looking for some History - '54 Crestline Power Seat

I've looked but cannot find any restoration interest, sales or other info on this power seat. I have a parts car '54 Crestline 4 door sedan that has one in it.

I've owned the car for over 50 years; it's been one of those "I'll get to it someday" (stripping & scrapping) projects that just never materialized.

It was a parts car when I got it - floors were gone, the body's shot and the front clip, PS pump & brackets and rear seat are gone. But it still has most of the other stuff including the AT and power windows and power front seat.

I plan to pull a few things off and put them in swap meets (I don't do online sales) before hauling it to the scrapyard. Not wanting to make a killing off any of it but ain't gonna give it away either, only to see it on eBay or marketplace a few days later for ridiculou$$$. I recently snagged an un-restored flip-back bench seat for my '56 Fairlane for about $250. So I'm guessing a power seat & all the controls should go for at least as much?

But for now I'm just looking for some trending history on the power seat and power windows. So far, not much luck to see if they're worth pulling.
Does anyone know if this seat is or has been listed recently? Thx for any info anyone can provide.

START HERE - https://oldcarbrochures.com/static/N.../dirindex.html

Please part it out before scrapping as I am sure there are those that want and/or need those parts.

After first cup of 30W ...

Maybe consider putting them on EvilBay on a MAKE OFFER DEAL (bidding for say thirty days) whereas the buyer(s) will determine value.

Power windows and power seats, most definitely pull them. I had to search for over 3 years to find a correct 4 way power seat for my 53' Merc. Obviously, you will get more if you clean them up and can confirm they all work.

Is the power seat a 2 way or 4 way?

I drove 200 miles to get one part for my power seat and one motor for the window. The seller wouldn't divide his cache so I ended up spending money on two complete doors, 3 more motors and an asst of regulators plus the entire front seat. Most of those parts ended up in the scrap pile because I couldn't find anyone who wanted them. I did use two of the motors and one regulator. Anyone looking for two solid doors (stripped) that fit both '54 Ford & Merc hardtops?

Way back in about 07, I bought the power window assemblies for my 55 bird. Motors, regulators, switches, relays, a clapped out wiring harness. Needed cleaning and light rebuilding. Put “Thunderbird” on it and the price doubles. But it was $1200. No glass, I moved mine over. Bought new switch and relays, either bad, questionable, or the chrome was gone.

I remember the $1200, because in 1967 I bought my first 55 bird. Low mileage hot 312, new interior, decent paint. Paid $1200 for the whole damn car, sold it 4 years later for $1200. How times change.

I’d be looking at the dedicated sites and AACA. Find the right buyer, there’s more money there. Hard to come buy.
