What are some high quality original-looking (bias-ply) but actually radial tires for a 1962 Galaxie? I'm not interested in Coker tires.

We're talking about specialty tires for which there isn't a lot of demand. You won't find them at Costco or Discount Tire. |

DiamondBack tires, at these links... https://dbtires.com/
https://dbtires.com/conversion-chart/ Check with DiamondBack or some local tire stores, you may be able to have your new tires shipped directly to a tire shop near you. . Last edited by dmsfrr; 06-21-2025 at 11:57 PM. |

Lucas Tires in Long Beach, CA lists some that are Coker's as well as others. Not sure who makes the non Coker tires. If they have what you want it would be worth the drive up the I-5 to save the shipping charges.

Well, it depends on what style tire you are looking for.
Stock size or larger? Wheel diameter? White stripe? How is the car used? You have to be very careful now as not many are made here. You have no idea of quality. My latest set of GOODYEARS came from Chile (Michelins also off-shore). And they also have Chinese versions.

Thanks for all the input. Looks like find the right p-metric size and go for the Diamond Back tires. I already have a set of DB Auburns on my 1941 Business Coupe and they're awesome.
