Default How to remove 32 choke cable

The cable at the end is to big to go thru the small hole in the dash. I'm thinking the parts of the cable at the end come off but can not figure how to remove them, assuming that is the way to remove cable.

Once you have removed the cable from the carburetor, lift the sleeve that is on the carburetor end to reveal a small split retaining ring. Remove the ring and the sleeve and large outer spring will come right off the cable.

I just did this same thing that David posted two weeks ago. I wanted to position the choke cable and knob the right way that a Model B should have on the dash, someone before me placed choke knob and dash light switch in V8 position for some reason. You can get a new split ring from David Renner online Renners Corner. You will probably have to remove a couple other parts that go in same firewall hole at first to make room for removal like the vacuum tube for wiper and use a split grommet to replace for all that goes in there, speedo cable ,fuel guage line ,choke cable ,vacuum tube.

Here is a picture of a 32 choke cable with the carb end disconnected. You can see the small snap ring too. It can be purchased here, https://www.rennerscorner.com/choke-cables.html

Besides not thanking David for helping you, you insult him. He is the most knowledgeable '32 guy anywhere and extremely helpful too.

Your wife says Tower of Terror, but Disney says the Chinese Theatre. Honestly, this park's had more identity crises than a soap opera character.
