Default Front cross member rebuild .

After removing my leaky radiator I saw that the cross member was not in good shape and like a trail of bread crumbs one thing lead to another .

I am a bit concerned that I will have his butt in my face as he has his head out of his side window

Many a cross member have been scrapped for stuff like that. They weren't molly coddled back in the day and they like to crack. Rivets also get loose so be sure it's still tight in the frame rails.

I am amazed at the stress cracks that have formed in 97 years on some of these cross members it's a good thing Henry ford actually used good metal had he used some cheap metal these things probably would have cracked within 20 years considering all the rough roads that they were on in their heyday paved highways were a thing of the future back in the late 20s!!!
