Default Carb and intake on 31 Deluxe Phaeton on BAT

Can anyone explain this carb and intake on the 31 Phaeton on BAT?

1: The intake has an extra port.

2: The carb linkage is bent around the exhaust.

3: The carb has a brass tag on it.

4: The carb has a little screw at the bottom of the GAV.

5: The carb has bowed out metal where it attaches to intake.

1. The extra port is for vacuum windshield wiper on a right-hand-drive car. (I got corrected. Keith below says it is a linkage pivot.)

2. The linkage may have been bent in an S curve to shorten it. Or to miss the GAV. The arm that hangs down from the throttle shaft attached to the rear of the engine can be bent to adjust the linkage instead of forming the rod into an S shape.

The rest of the stuff I will defer to a carburetor expert.

The intake is from a RHD car,and that isn't a port,it's a linkage pivot. It looks like that linkage has been bent to shorten it,not to go around anything.I think that carb is from South America,I want to say Mochi, but that's kind of a dim recollection.

I think the carburetor may be a Simmons.
