Default A little Whimsical V8 sickness

One of my releases away from work and working on cars IS I play golf so I thought I'd share my whimsical way I mark one of my favorite brands of golf ball when I play to identify my ball over ALL others. The Callaway label on their golf balls (numbered 1,2,3 &4) was just a natural for the progression on how my mind constantly thinks about V8's!! AND I doubt anyone else playing has the same idea/mark!!!

I love the game, just don't have any time at this point in my busy life to play it as I used too. When I get back to it, I think I'll follow your lead!

My best customer loves to play, his company is a major Mechanical Contractor and they sponsor a lot of holes in Charity Golf tournaments SO I get asked to play in them quite a bit (Good PR for my company)....Like you, I like to play but work around my house and in my shop consume my weekends SO that's about ALL the golf I play any more. When I was younger, I worked on a golf course for about 7 years at one of the top country clubs in the city, loved it, but it spoiled me.....I got to play for free all the time and got to play ALL the areas best private golf courses for free....NOW having to pay for it on public courses stinks!!!! Lol

No Sir, it was one of the older, long established country clubs here in town.....It was however, one of the courses played for the TPC before Sawgrass came into existence.

I like to mark my golf balls also (notice how I made it a compound noun).

But I usually mark them with the name of the person that has ticked me off recently.

Then I tell everyone that I am going to "give them a ride". If you know what I mean.

Golf can be the most rewarding game, and also the most frustrating game. And, it is the only one in which low score wins.

FORE!

I tried ball golf many yrs ago in late '60s too frustrating and my back wasn't compliant then. then when our son and daughter became early teens in the late '90s they convinced to play disc golf.at 74 i still play with or without them. and now soon i will be taking our daughter nand her little girl to my course. and there is plenty of space on my putter to inscribe the name of whoever ans when the disc hits those chains double pleasure. Tom.
