Default Identification Help Please.

Found this in a box of Model A parts I picked up at an auction. 1/2 of a set to stamp something?

It's 4" wide, 5" tall and 1 5/8 Deep. Weighs just under 7lbs. As best I can tell it is marked;
Ford AB-7353-A
699-7352 79925 CH

Anyone?

Thanks!

Ford AB-7353-A - is not a typical part/casting number. The 7353 would indicate it's a transmission/clutch part. The AB is typically where Ford puts the date code but that doesn't match their scheme. The A would indicate the first change/update to the part.

Wild guess: It looks like this may be a tool of some sort.

Maybe a forging tool to forge some T shaped part. Or a die to mold sheet metal into a T shaped part. The patterns are too far apart to be used on a single sheet of material as there would be too much waste. I will vote for a forging die. What part on a Model A has this shape?

I think it is a Ford dealership special tool for working on a Fordomatic/ Mercomatic. If you could find a Manzel tool catalog, it may show up there. Best guess is that is in the 1952-54 era. Nothing to do with a Model A.
