Others’ experiences may be different, but the Model A I drove with an F1 steering conversion didn’t feel any different from a standard Model A. My takeaway from that experience was … meh. 🫤

My car has one of Randy's boxes. It's the only A I've driven so I can't compare it to a regular one. Steering is light and precise - two things you usually don't hear about the 2 or 7 tooth A boxes.
One of the BIG safety advantages of his conversion is his use of a new one piece shaft not one that has been welded together using the original A and F100 shafts.

The Gemmer II with its rotating sector gear is an improvement over the old two tooth Gemmer design. They do steer better but to each there own. It was good enough for Grandpop.

F1 or F100 won’t fix worn,or out of adjustment steering components. Linkage, king pins, out of round balls, loose drag link, ect.
