What is the original finish on a 32 Body Number plate. Is it the same finish as on the patent plate? Thanks

Both Patent and Body Number plates in my car are now dull from age. The Patent plate in your book looks like its polished zink. So thats the correct finish when new for both plates? Thanks,

Did a 32 five window coupe have a body number plate?

They were made of zinc, but I don't think it was polished, but rather had a matte or satin finish. oldford,, Standard coupe bodies were built by Ford and normally had no separate plate. Some had their body number stamped on the #1 floor cross sill, but that practice varied by assembly plant. |
