Can someone please post or pm me a picture of a true 1936 pickup radiator splash pan. I’ve found 2-3 that say they are but there all different. Don’t want to buy the wrong one. I have enough wrong parts. Thanks

There are two pans. One mounts vertically between the bottom of the radiator and the bottom of the grille, the other mounts horizontally to the bottom of the grille shell and to the front crossmember.

My understanding is that the apron (pan) was for direction of air and to help cooling. Possibly someone with more knowledge will respond. I am not sure what Karl refers to as the vertical part. Part # 67-8240 is the apron. The reason for 2 crank holes is because it fits big trucks and pickups. I see a couple on EB with one pretty thin and the other pretty rusty. This is a one year only as the 36 radiator is thicker than the 35. The 35 # 50-8240. The 36 radiator, apron, and grille make a match. Same for the 35 and a parts only match. The one pictured I bought but never installed as I have no cooling problems and I do not drive in dirty conditions or in the rain.

There are two versions of the 1936 truck and pickup radiator grille shell apron (Part No. 67-8240). Shown in Figure 2.13-2. Either one is appropriate for a 1936 pickup. As previously mentioned, the version of this apron with only one crank hole (Part No. 51-8240). This fits inside the bottom front of the radiator grille shell and is attached with the same bolts holding the fenders and grille shell. Shown in Figure 2.13-3.
There is a radiator grille shell to frame shield for 1936 pickups (Part No. 67-16554) which attaches to the bottom edge of the grille shell with four bolts and to the frame with two bolts and is essentially parallel with the road surface. Photos show the top and bottom sides. To add to the confusion, there is a radiator grille shell to cross-member shield for big trucks (Part No. 51-16554) but these are only for trucks, not pickups. Photo is Figure 4.2-2.
