I have been searching the web for an assembly diagram or even a picture of the front seat adjustor mechanism for my 1929 standard fordor, all I have on my car is a knob in the center under the seat cushion, but i have no idea how this attaches to the lower sat frame, I can't find anything listed for a 1929 (other than it might be the same as a 1930) either way i would like to see a photo or print showing this assembly...

Eric - I've run across two different front seat adjusting mechanisms on my two sedans. The one that Bob shows uses a lever to enable discrete positions on the seat fore and aft. I have that type on my '31 Town Sedan. The other type uses a large (maybe 2-1/2" across? I don't have it at home to measure) handwheel with finger notches to turn an Acme-threaded screw, which moves the seat fore and aft continuously. I have that type on my '30 Murray Town Sedan. From what I can deduce from your picture it looks like you may have this type.
I've attached a few pictures I took when I took mine apart several years ago. They are not as clear as Bob's, unfortunately, but may give you some idea. I think these are of the adjustment mechanism attached to the lower frame, out of the car. You might have success just removing the lower seat cushion and looking at it yourself, I recall that it was fairly easy to see how it worked, just not how to disassemble it.
