Default Fender welting

On a '30 wood body frame sedan, how far back on the top of the steel frame does the cloth fender welt go? From the marks on my frame it looks like the rubber body blocks went onto the steel frame aft of the splash aprons, which would imply that the welting stopped at the rear edge of the splash aprons. And of course I didn't get a photo of it when I took it apart...

Hello, the cloth frame welting is under the splash aprons for running boards and doesn’t extend much farther than the aprons, I have seen old illustration showing it going all the way to back of frame , but that is incorrect.Hope that helps.
