If you're low on cash a kit isn't the way to go.

Brookville did sell a body in pieces don't know if they still do. A little less money but not cheap. More difficult to assemble correctly than you might think.

Yes! Unless someone has a jig to build the Sill assembly on and then hold a body, this will be a disaster. Also, there is a large amount of handwork and fitting that needs to be done to each panel.

The roadster bodies are all they produce so not much choice. They can be built up on a model A frame but it has to be straight. They don't come with fuel tanks or body blocks & hardware to include rivets. Body wood is another concern.

Hello, I bought a repro quarter and door for a 31 roadster, assuming the were Brookville, and they do require a lot of work to reshape the molding areas and fit door .Wood framing isn’t too extensive, mostly tack strips and seat frame.

100%. Any project adds up much quicker than most people anticipate or realize. Buying an already together car is generally cheaper in the long run though maybe not initially.

Few things kill motivation more than a non-driving basket case project.
