Vanpelt Sales has wiring diagrams on their website in Parts Drawings/Electrical. I'm using them to rewire my 35.

It is made so it can be taken apart. The end where the wires exit rotates a bit and then can be lifted straight off the body. Suggest some lube where the two pieces meet. Inside is a black plastic plate with the electrical terminals attached. I would guess your going to have to unsolder or drill holes in the terminals so wires can be attached and soldered securely in place.

Would be sweet if it all works out

Don't know if things are better now; but in the past some of the terminal plates were not made well permitting poor connections which resulted in heat which let the terminals sink into the substandard plastic plates.

Our cure was to dig out an old harness, salvage the terminals, and reuse the original plates.

This is what I'm planning on my car. I just hope the switch shaft is straight enough to not turn with the steering column.
