Does everybody wear a shirt and tie in those days. I've even seen some guys in the films building the model a have a tie on while working.

Tom, I think they did. Here is a picture of my Grandfather (second from left) working in a New Jersey silk mill at the turn of the century (last century!!) with a shirt and tie on. Imagine if that tie got caught in one of those wheels.

Jeez, that's a scary thought!! I wouldn't be here!!
