The vacuum port is on the other side. The Model A windshield frame is round, the 32 is flat. You could probably make it work or fit somehow but would not look right.

Attached are pictures of wipers on my '31 RDPU and my '32 roadster. I believe they are correct. I can't tell the difference. I was once told the patent numbers on the body of the wiper were sightly different. A deluxe '32 roadster has a chrome wiper and the standard '32 roadster has a black wiper (probably should check to confirm in the judging standards) and the '31RDPU is black. My guess is that deuce lover was thinking of a '31 Roadster when he said the ports were on opposite sides.

Charlie,

Check the length of the shaft as the chassis parts catalog makes it clear that '31 roadster pickups, '32 roadster pickups, and '32 roadster/phaetons originally all had different wiper motors.

P.S. both the wiper motors in your photos are post-'32 service replacements.

Charlie,Here is what I meant by the vacuum port on the other side. This is the only pic I could find searching. On The Model A open cars the bowl is down .

The 76-B wiper mounts like the 1932 B-76.

B-17508-H was the original wiper motor for '32 open cabs. Its paddle is down, not up, with the vacuum line attaching on the left for both LHD and RHD applications. If Charlie's '31 open cab wiper motor is correct with its paddle up, then the correct '32 open cab wiper motor is the direct opposite in how it is attached to the windshield frame.

It should be chrome for a deluxe roadster and Dave may have a few more observations.

BobC,

Sheldon's [photo in #10 is correct for '32 deluxe phaetons and roadsters assuming the shaft is the correct length. That in Charlie's photon on the right in #3 looks ti be a wiper motor fir '32-'34 standard phaetons and roadsters, The difference other than the finish is the covers. The all-but-very-late '32 wiper motor covers are attached with two screws. The later wiper motor covers snap on.

The wiper motor shown in #5 is not a '32 phaeton/roadster wiper motor. It might be a '32 cabriolet wiper motor if its shaft is housed in a tube and is very long.
