I see this and I think of a young Chris Ekonomaki in New Jersey. First time he sold newsletters (local paper with a racing page at the back) at the track, and he got 1 cent each, for a total of $2. The newsletters were a nickel. He said that was quite a sum for a youngster at that time.

Ya know, at the time of his death he owned National Speed Sport News.
