Seattle Craig's list 7788931900 . Also a V8'er in Oregon has lost storage for 5 '40 Fords. A Dlx 4dr, 3 tudors and a coupe. I inspected the 4dr and it's a fair car. Newc

I did a "Cut 'n Paste" on your reference and it came up with a '39 Fordor. I'd be interested if I wanted a "more-door". Is it the car you were referencing?

That's a hekava nice car for the money. If I ever bought an early ford V8 CAR I would actually prefer a fordoor. So much more practical... Interesting that the seller states the condition as 'fair'.

I don't think that's a smokin' deal. Nothing to do with the car, but the marketplace these days. I'm dealing on a jail bar truck with a local guy with health problems and a bunch of nice cars, and he just wants them gone. I'm afraid there's going to be more and more of this going on down the line.
I'm up in the Brainerd/Lakes area and have been for over 20 years. I would bet there are over 10,000 nicely restored cars within 20 miles of where I currently live (any body who's interested has a few). I found out last year that there are at least 6 restored Duesenberg's within 6 miles of where I live. (I don't know of a single '32 3-window, however.) 42 tudor.jpg
Probably apples to oranges but this 1942 tudor is on Facebook marketplace for 11k which seems reasonable. In this area the 41-48 cars are weak but maybe that makes them buys for an entry level collector. Saw a fairly nice 46 Plymouth 4 door a guy had just bought for 7k. Older enamel paint but original interior and drove well. I told him he'll have 7k worth of fun with it quickly. |

Newc, there's a decent '40 four door deluxe for sale in Medford. They want 14,500 but need to sell as they are moving. They also want to sell a Lionel train collection. It's on the Medford craigslist. The '40 has decent paint(cloudmist gray) and the motor has been rebuilt. Tires are very old and it needs some side glass replaced. It has an older Lebaron-Bonney upholstery kit in it. It's a super rust free car. I suspect they would take a lot less for the car.
