Default Original Canadian tires.

I'm interested in the details of original Canadian made Goodyear 19" tires. Does anyone know of any relics still avaliable to study. Maybe someone has seen old photographs that show original Canadian tires up close. Most tires I have seen are the replacements that have the two widths marked instead of just one.

That's what I had in mind as far as detail Bick, thankyou!

The "Goodyear Canada" in the circle is the kind of detail I love. Just wondering if it was all red in the circle or a combination of colors? Volume 37, Issue 3 has some photographs but could use more. I don't suppose you have any photographs of the 19" Goodyear that are as nice as the the 21" Goodyear that you show?

I thought there would be lots of old original tires around but so far only the newer aftermarket ones have turned up for me.

Thank you "Model A Canuck"!

I will get in touch with cmaff to see if there is any more information. Bicks first photograph is one from the cmaff site. It is a great photo of the Firestone 4.75-19 tire on the Ford Motor Company of Canada's assembly line.

CMAFF has one Canadian made Goodyear tire. I have sent additional photos to your personal e-mail.

Mike, I did receive a personal email from you, thank you! My email was down for a few days so still catching up. I thought I would share my response I sent to you for the benefit of others here that may be interested

"This is the later tire that shows the two sizes (4.75/5.00). The original just had the 4.75 marking. I'm not sure if they were the same otherwise. I know Goodyear was known to make small changes through the years.
I haven't found anything that shows the original yet but there is a good chance yours is the closest. I would be interested to buy your tire if it is for sale."

It finally sunk in that this tire was owned by the foundation so probably not for sale.

Would you be able to show all details of both sides using a coin for scale? I'd like to draw it up for reference. Thank you for your help!

Bob
