I was troubleshooting my tractor safety switches yesterday and tried cleaning the switches with an old can of CRC contact cleaner. It didn’t seem to do much.
Is there anything newer and better?. I’m sure some of the contacts on my ‘41 could use some cleaning. BTW I found the PTO switch to be sticky and not allowing my tractor to start, I did get to mow. |

CRC fast dry contact cleaner works very well for me. But dont expect it to remove oxidation or corrosion from points. You need to dress the points for that. But for oil, grease and dirt, CRC does very well.
