Default Thrust Washers

Per

three are needed. I only see two in my engine. Two are at the rear main bearing, but that's it.

You can get by with only two. Three are commonly used, two on the flywheel side of the rear main (one of the cap, one on the block), creating a complete circle. One is used on the cap, on the front side of the rear main cap.

It has run great for 15 years or so with two, so it must be right. Thanks to all for the tips.

Proper use of the clutch pedal really helps the thrust bearings.

Mine don't seem to have wear, maybe I use the clutch okay?
