Okay , I’ve never worked with this 1970s economaster carb but recently bought 4 .
They have a listed cfm of 450 , mechanical secondary, I stuck one a a 262 sbc and it was very easy to adjust and tune . I plan on one going on a 125” over 4” stroke thats in my A pickup. It currently has a weber ( afb ) , runs great , fantastic throttle response but ... I’m always open to try a carb or gizmo I havent played with , just incase . My question is has anyone tuned one of these for a flathead ? Problems? The carbs were very affordable @$ 25 to $35 each . Very small primaries and the 3 matching carbs ( 7456 ) have a leaner primary jet than the one oddball is number 8877 . All ( most )of these are a Q - Jet replacement. Any help is appreciated. Sometimes I just cant help myself . Gary |
