Default 1941 coupe front fenders

I’m repairing my 41 coupe front sheetmetal. Found a pair of fenders for a super deluxe in good shape for a decent price. From the pictures it appears where they bolt together there is a recess where the chrome strip goes. Can anyone confirm this. Thank you ai advance

A Fordbarn SEARCH reveals there were both 2 piece and 3 piece 1941 Ford front fenders. Excellent information plus photos are here:

It appears they do bolt together- top and bottom. Here's an ad on HAMB showing the "tops" for sale.

Early and late design. Early super deluxe did not have the stainless strip between the upper and lower fender , later super deluxe had the stainless . Ford was trying to spruce up its look .
There is a brace that goes on the lower piece in the upper most middle of the arch . The lower fender piece is very thin in this section. If you need more NOS parts or odd stuff for 41 , pm me . Shipping will be very slow but local pickup is preferable.

[email protected] You should be able to find a date code on the glass in your car to get a better idea on when it was produced. Look at all the glass in your car, most of mine is dated April of 1941, with one or two pieces dated June.
This should help with getting the correct fenders.

Also other small early / late changes are an oval rear view mirror is early . Dang , forgot the others , I just had them in my mind then poof , gone . Getting old has new challenges every day .
