Default Ammeter

Can somebody out there tell what the back side of
Correct ammeter looks like . I was told it has a small dimple on it and of course the slotted nuts and the black plastic caps on them.

I could be wrong but I don’t think the dimple is mandatory.

I don't believe the originals had the dimple!

All the ones I've seen are uniformly flat on the back. They stamped what look like two little louvers on the bottom side to act as positioners for the C-shaped magnet on the inside but that's about it.

Ford would subcontract replacement parts after they were no longer needed for production so replacement parts may have had variations. Ford also used subcontractors for other electrical parts to insure adequate supply but I have no idea whether Ford did this with the ammeters or not. I would not be surprised to find some variations but I haven't yet. Maybe someone else has had a different experience than I.
