Needing a pattern for rear seat arm rest cards. I have some of the original but not enough to accurately make a new one. It appears there is a piece of canvas that bridges the gap between the card and the wood in the body. If anyone has a pattern or any helpful information it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,

I too have had to think about the rear arm rest for a 34, my Victoria doesn't have them at all. Several years ago I went to the Benson Library at The Henry Ford, looking for my needed parts. This image may be of help?

Leadfoot,
I have enough of the original to see that the Victoria and Fordor are different but some of the contours may helpful. Thank you. Also, I wasn't aware of the Benson Library, will try to learn how to contact it. |

I got a response. Can anyone supply the part number for the quarter armrest card for a 1934 fordor? It looks like I may be able to get a print from the Benson Research Center if I can come up with the part number. I have the '33 '34 restoration manual but it doesn't give part numbers. Thanks

Here is what a copy of the 1933-1934 Body Parts List shows for a Type 40-730 Fordor:
![]() Under the quarter panel section, there are only part numbers of complete "assemblies" listed for the rear arm rest's. Bare in mind, the differences between 1933 and 1934 part numbers, plus the differences between the De Luxe version and the Standard models. By the way, the Victoria and Fordor part numbers are the same in this Body Parts Listing. It was the Benson Libarian that provided me with the draft drawing of the cardboard piece. I will tell you the library is not complete in all parts as one may expect. Several parts that I requested info for were not available. They had nothing. Which brings up the point....if Ford doesn't have info on a particular part, who does? That answer speaks for itself. |
