Default 31 Cabriolet Pass Side Assembly of Rear Bumper Arm

My cabriolet is in final assembly. The body is painted, doors hung and body has been shimmed as necessary. Yesterday I started to put on the passenger side bumper arm and it was not possible to do so. There was interference between the vertical support and the heavy rear cross member where the spare tire is mounted. I solved the problem by removing a rivet on the vertical support and rotating the vertical support to a favorable position. It seems that the arm should have been mounted just before the rear cross member was installed.

Strangely, I did not have the problem on the driver's side of the car. I never would have seen this problem. Ed
