Default ‘41 p/u hood latch differences

Hi guys. I am hoping one of you can send me a nice close pic of the hood latch side of a ‘41 V-8 truck. This truck was originally a 6cyl truck. I have the correct mount for the hood but it isn’t just a bolt in as you can see. The two upper bolts align, but the lowers have nowhere to go. What does this area look like on a v-8 hood. Does it just continue like the rest and not have the V- notch? Hoping to have this on this weekend but would really need some reference photos to see. Any help extremely appreciated.
