Found a decent rear window assembly, but not quite true. The 32 book -page16-8 has dimensions of about 25' X 5". This one is 25"X 6" close enough for Touring Class A, I hope. Newc

Looking at the cross section shape it appears rounded which is not Ford that I have seen. Check inside, if it is die cast its likely GM. That said, if you are building "touring" or "street rod" class use it, and enjoy it and the car.

With respect, the first version of the three '32 cabriolet rear window frames was die cast aluminum. At least some of the '35-'36 open car rear window frames were die cast zinc. In fact, if the outer dimensions of Dale's frame are actually 25" x 7" then it is likely a '35-'36 frame. |

Did the earliest (diecast) cabriolet back window frame have approximately a half round cross section, or did it have the nearly flat cross section similar to the stamped construction window frames? |

It has been decades since I saw one of them and that sort of detail I can't reliably remember. I may have a copy of the engineering drawing, but I'm not sure and I am miles away from getting that sort of stuff accessible again after having consolidated two households into a third. Sorry. |
