I have an Owen Dynetco Electric Windshield Wiper, aka, OD-C1B. This came off a 1928 Model A closed car. It was returned as a box of parts to the owner. An attempt was started to rebuild it with the after market CNC aluminum base casting replacement.
I have all the parts except the rack gear that saws back and forth on the wiper shaft spur gear, and what ever was suppose to hold that rack in contact with the gear. Actually I do have a rack gear that has been snapped in two. I am not sure if it belongs to this motor. The previous repair person said it snapped when he tried to straighten it.
I have searched through many forums and club archives. So far only found external pictures nothing with internal details other than the fiber gear. Decade old URL's are dead ends. Apparently this was not anyone's favorite device. I repair clocks. Making small gear shaped parts should not be a big problem if I can find the right information.
Can anyone point me toward dimensioned drawings, sketches, patents, or a knowledgable individual willing to share information?
Regards, Alan
