I'm in the process of updating my 35 Coupe chassis to an open driveshaft and juice brakes. I have a set of 39 Pedals that I'm rebuilding and haven't installed yet. I was wanting to know the best way to route my brake lines especially the emergency brake cables for a 9 inch rear end. Does anyone have any ideas?? THX Steve

Run the stock 9" axle cables to brackets on the inside of the rails just ahead of the front spring mounts, then had a new cable made and used a '40 equalizer and yoke on the front.
Run the brake line down the inside of the frame, mount a Chevy truck rear brake hose about where the breather is on the axle housing and mount the front end on bracket on frame rail so the hose will flex naturally. If you are putting duals on, take that into consideration. Last edited by rich b; 08-28-2023 at 09:35 PM. Reason: extra |
