Default rain gutter sealer

What is better to use under rain gutters and hideem welt, Loctite flashing and roof polyurethane sealer or 3 M fast and firm sealer. Should I put a little sealer in the hidem welt before I fold it over? Thanks

Used nothing. Put the tack strip over the material and added the gutter. Thats it. G

Does water leak under it or does it not matter. We get a lot of rain here in WA.

My top material came from Lebaron-Boney years ago. I put nothing under. However, after I installed the rain gutters I put some stuff on the upper lip where it meets the top material. Just a bead of it, and it came with my top. Stuff looked like model airplane/car glue. Sorry, I do not know the name.

I don't know about the 3M sealer but I have done two 34 tops, one with the original metal trim and one with Hidem welt. I used the loctite roof polyurethane on both cars. I also use it for the teak deck seams on my old woodie Grand Banks. fantastic stuff.
