I am restoring a ‘51 F-1 with the V8. The owner wants to stay with the 6 Volt Pos. Ground. I would like to find the best starter I can; Hi torque? Gear reduction? Much prefer US made but these days???? I know that some vendors are selling Hi Torque starters made in India, does anybody have experience with those (good or bad)? Also would like to get an alternator that is in a stock appearing generator case. To be honest, I am much more familiar with the Model A stuff and I know that these 2 items are available for those but I don’t know about the flathead. Suggestions?
