Default Rotisserie

Borrowed this home built rotisserie from a friend the other day and thought it might be of interest. It's a beast, but seems like it will do the trick.

Man, that thing is built for the ages! Nice solid design, but what is the hydraulic brake used for? I'd think you'd want mechanical if it's purpose is to hold in one spot. The one I use, a friends, has a gear reduction crank, so it won't roll on it's own.

Awesome. I love this kind of stuff. I’m going to build a half rotisserie when I’m ready to do my body. I only need to sand and prep the floors on the underside so no need for a full rotisserie. All the rest of my “paint” (what’s left of it) will be staying original.

Yeah the brake is to hold it in whatever position you want/need. It’ll work for me, but definitely a different design than the typical.

Here's another rotisserie design. I'm not sure if it's a home built unit, but it originally came with my 32 project. It's a lighter and simpler design with better clearances for working the body.

Well-built for the heaviest of bodies/frames, once in position, much better with the trip hazards removed.

A buddy used this cheap tent for a temporary paint booth and gave it to me to use. More ideas I thought could be helpful.

Saw one in Oregon also. It was made from a radial aircraft engine stand. Newc
