Need some help settling a small dispute

Last week I saw a '21 touring (purported to be an untouched, original 'survivor') that had a few strange things going on...

First, the hood handles had the double rivets on each side like the 17-20's.
Bruce McCalley's research indicates that on July 20, 1920 a production change was made to eliminate the rivets, but this was only 11 days before the launch of the '21 model year, so I guess it's possible that some crossover could have happened.

Problem is, this car was manufactured in the middle of the production run (1st quarter 1921).

The second funky thing was the car still had the old (1908-20 style) front motor mount that used 4 nuts rather than the single "U" shaped bracket that uses only 2. Not 100% sure if that's correct either.

Any of you guys with '21's have hood rivets or the early style spring hanger? I'm pretty sure they were long gone by then, but you never know!
