I have picked up an 8CM block that is missing the connecting rods and pistons, it still has the crankshaft and bearing caps and cam shaft. I have a few sets of 8BA rods, can I use them with the 4" stroke crankshaft of the Merc? And do I spec. the pistons for the Mercury stroke length?

yes, you are correct-rods are the same-pistons are the difference-need to spec for 4" crank shaft

Check your connecting rods to see if they have the squirt holes.
Some do and some do not. https://www.bing.com/search?q=8ba+co...ANAB01&PC=HCTS |
