Model A emergency brake handle
Hi,
I have these two Model As and I was wondering what the the year difference would be in the different positions of the handles? Thanks for your help. Jim |

Re: Model A emergency brake handle
Don't forget the left one comes in two flavors: either pistol grip top or pushbutton top. My March '29 truck has the pushbutton.
The pistol grip/pushbutton types seem about split; equal numbers of each. One assumes there is a date-range for the two types, but I'm too lazy to look it up. Joe K

Re: Model A emergency brake handle
I got curious, so got out the Judging Standards.
I was surprised to read that the side transmission mounted e brake was introduced in July of 29. The push button e brake handle ran from Jan. of 29 to July, 29. However, the e brake handle on our Dec. 28 pickup truck is the push button type, but that's a whole other discussion. |
