I am looking for some help. I have a model A starter that has the standard post where someone used a solenoid instead of the original foot operated starter switch. I am going to return the started back to the original design. The problem is I can’t find in any of the manuals where someone said how to do this. I see where I can buy the button terminal, but do not know if is possible?

Depending how the standard post is attached, You will need a pretty heavy duty soldering iron (300 watts+) to unsolder it from the field coils.
Then solder the new "button" in place.
