Default New Stromberg 97 carb

Bought the last two brand new Stromberg 97 carbs available from Summit Racing a month ago. Just installed one of them to replace the ancient Holley 94 I rebuilt myself.

I also ordered a new Edelbrock Slingshot that's on backorder. When I get that I'll install the second carb.

Meanwhile, replacing the old Holley with a new Stromberg is like having a new car! No more stumble at any speed. No more babying the clutch and throttle when moving from a standing start. No more fiddling with the choke until I'm 10 miles down the road. No more gasoline weeping over the top of my engine. No doubt one of the professionals on Ford Barn could have rebuilt the Holley better than I did, but I wanted two like new matching carbs and only had one old cr***y Holley.

It was a good choice for me.
