front motor mount

I'm installing the motor in my 29 model A, and now the motor sits a little high, and now I see the springs that the yoke sits on are compressed all the way and the flange of the yoke is not touching the spring plate is this normal.? I am using a new mount kit from Snyder's but the yoke is the old one that was in the car and not sure if it's been altered, due to lots of things have been rigged to work on the car
