Anyone shipping a Model A motor, I just shipped a "Burtz" motor and used Fed-Ex. I was really surprised at the ease and service. I boxed it up (used the weights listed online for all the Model A engine parts, ie short block) and put that in the quote, took it down and they delivered it in just two days.

If you live on the West Coast GLS is a great option. They have both Freight & Parcel options.
Their DIM cost are less than the other big guys. Faster too. They take larger parcels w/o needing to paletize. I shipped two pickup bed sides from Wa to Ca for under $100
